The weather hasn't been conducive to riding but I managed to sneak in a couple of rides in February. Since it's the lightest and easiest to get out of the garage I took the 250 Nighthawk out for a pair of short rides to just to shake off the rust and winter doldrums. It is always a lot of fun and makes me feel like a better rider than I am these days. I would take out the pesky scooters since they're even easier to ride but since they are perennially hooked up to trickle chargers I leave them behind. The big scooter's battery is in need of replacement and I'm waiting until Spring is closer to buy one. It went dead in the Fall and I figured there was no sense buying a battery that would spend the next five months in a stationary machine.
Ride flyers are popping up on Facebook and it looks like the end of April is about the soonest organized events will occur. It's a lot closer than it was in November but it feels like a long time away. I'm hoping the weather gets warmer and dryer soon so I can go off into the countryside and watch the leaves bud and flowers bloom. In the meantime I have to satisfy myself starting the bikes every week and hearing the music of mechanical clatter.
