Odd Weather

This past Thursday I observed one of those situations that makes you shake your head. I had looked at two weather forecast sites on the web and they were very discouraging in my plans to take a scooter to work. Two of the three I use stated that there was a good possibility that it would rain so I was beginning to sink into a "Need to Drive" mindset. I was totally planning to take the car when I got a message from Sara that she had heard from colleagues that the day would be totally clear and sunny. I hadn't checked Weather.com yet so I went to their site to see what they had posted for the hourly report. Imagine my surprise when I saw zero percent probability of precipitation for the entire afternoon.
I took a deep breath and said, "OK, I'll ride." I was so glad I did. In the final analysis the day turned out better than I expected. Not only was it sunny but the temperatures moved into the seventies. I had the best ride I've had all year. No cold breeze, bright sun and a glorious trip. In the future I'll check all three web sites more closely and judge my using two wheels based on matching hourly reports. I would have been very unhappy if I missed a ride that day. It was perfect riding weather.
