While it may look lovely in pictures, nothing is more depressing to a rider than a blanket of white covering the world outside. Not only is my lawn white with snow but the streets are coated with road salt waiting to rust anything that dares cross it. Having just come through twelve days of sub freezing temperatures it's hard to think about riding at this time.
The only two wheeled, motor driven object I've used in the last two weeks is my two stage snow blower. It has had a couple of workouts recently. I'm hoping for a late January thaw preceded by a rain storm clearing the salt away and allowing me the opportunity to drag something out into the world for a brief ride.
As always, there are better days ahead. I'm just hoping I don't have to wait until late April to see them. Let's hope for an early Spring.
