First let me wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. It has been a tough year and we should be thankful for the blessings we have received in this tumultuous year. Linda and I are eating alone today, thankful that we had eluded this scourge ravaging the land and that we have each other in our lives. Also that everyone we know and love has also been untouched by the disease.
We were going down to Long Island in past years but all that has changed. My Father passed away a year ago and my Mother followed him this past Summer ending the big Thanksgiving dinner on Long Island. Under normal circumstances we might have gone to Linda's son's home but in the interest of safety we have skipped that. Instead we are having a quiet dinner at home.
I have taken the scooter out for a couple of short rides while the motorcycles look on with annoyance. It's the season when I start each one of them weekly and let the sound of happy engines remind of the great riding season I just had.
My best wishes to everyone in this strained holiday season. Stay safe and enjoy your lives.
