The year is coming to an end with many highs and lows to its credit. First the passing of my Father in May was probably the bottom. Discovering the Hudson Valley Bikers Network online with a constantly updated list of motorcycle events added some adventure to my riding life. Linda and I have been wearing a groove in the roads traveling to Long Island to visit Mom and friends down there. My car has seen a lot of action in this regard.

This past Monday the weather was an inviting 55 degrees with brilliant sunshine. Time for another last ride of the season. I pulled the Honda Nighthawk out of the garage and it fired up immediately. The roads were mostly dry but it was salty in spots. The air was crisp and the bike ran strong for its size. The roads around here have a nice assortment of curves and rises that suit the Honda well.
