Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had as good a Thanksgiving as Linda and I did. For the first time in a long time I was part of a team effort to entertain family on this festive day. We stocked up on necessary items for the gala the weekend before with a heavy hitting trip to ShopRite and other stores. We cleaned the house and Linda dusted. The night before Linda peeled potatoes and I mopped the kitchen. Clutter was put in order and the turkey was stuffed.

A Blessed Event

Last week I got to see the fruition of the old adage, "Good Things Happen to Good People". If you watched my wedding video, above, you came away knowing that the Minister, my Daughter-in-Law Erin, was pregnant. Without going into way too much detail Erin and husband Michael have worked very hard to have a child. At the wedding Erin was several weeks away from delivering but everyone was holding their breath. Last week she had her baby, Cora Rosina, who is just perfect.

Today

Yes, it's election day. I'm going out on a limb here but I won't be forced into endorsing a candidate, per se. Only offering an observation.
I have advocated one, simple fact relevant to this election. To be President you have to be qualified. A background in Law, Legislative Processes, Diplomacy and how the workings of the economy operate are paramount. Popularity or appealing to anger, rage and unreasoning discontent doesn't make you qualified. Even the third party candidates are more qualif...

The Trophy

I think everyone has a small item that reminds them of one, shining moment. I know my wedding picture to Linda in my cover photo on Facebook will always be one, but I have one I've been dragging around for 36 years. It's a motorcycle trophy I received from the Cross Island Motorcycle Club in 1980. Of the few bike trophies I have received it's probably the most ornate and fraught with meaning.
