If you were with us last time I indicated that I would be doing a ride on the Kawasaki. It didn't go as planned. The battery in the bike was five years old which is getting on in battery years. I did everything I could to check the battery the day before and everything seemed alright. The trip down to Westchester went well and the bike gave no indication that anything was wrong until I pulled into the starting location. I noticed that the left directional didn't seem to be blinking and figured I would check it out when I stopped. I parked, signed up for the event and walked back to the bike. When I pushed the starter button it wouldn't even pretend to start. Long story short, a cell went bad in the battery and was shorting it out . I found a man with a portable booster pack and got the bike fired up. I decided I wouldn't do the ride lest I stall out somewhere and get stuck. The ride home was okay but the feeling of defeat was hanging over my head like a cloud. A new battery was ordered and the bike is charging happily away. This Saturday another ride is being held nearby and the Kawasaki gets another chance to shine. Oh, the directional signal needed a new bulb. It was thirty-seven years old and just gave up.
Today Linda and I finally got tired of looking like teenagers and went to Supercuts to get clipped. Because of Covid19 we haven't been there to get our hair cut since February. My hair was faintly reminiscent of what it looked forty years ago and I had enough. I feel and look much better.
This Friday will be Linda's and mine fourth Wedding Anniversary. It's true. time does fly when you're having fun.
